salzburg travel
sw asked:

I am 19 and I will be traveling alone going across Europe for 3 months

These are the cities I plan to stay overnight in at least 1 day Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Berlin, Prague, Vienna, Salzburg, Munich, Cologne, Paris, Madrid, Seville, Barcelona, Nice, Bern, Interlaken, Milan, Venice, Florence, Rome, Athens, Crete, Istanbul, Sofia, Belgrade, Budapest, Kiev , Moscow, ****. Petersburg, Riga, Stockholm…

I am wondering how much should i expect to spend during those 3 months. I already have my plane tickets in order. I just need an estimate on housing, food, etc…..

Budget an average of €100 a day to include everything.

haha, you stole my itinerary…. it’s a good one though. I went about $40/night for hostels, $50/day food (could’ve been less), $30/day alcohol, $20/day attractions, and train/ferry travel, which ran about $1500 for the whole trip…

some expenses to watch out for:
    skydiving in Interlaken ($100)
visas for Turkey, Russia, and Ukraine ($200)

all costs in dollars US. I went when I was 22, and I drank and partied heavily, probably about as heavily as possible, in retrospect, so you might be able to do more cheaply.
