The answer is Bad Gastein, 90 kilometers south of Salzburg. When you get off the train you are literally at the resort. Maybe 300meter walk to where you rent skis and get lift tickets.
I found a really cool interactive map on the subject at the URL below. Apparently there are a number of ski resorts within an hour and a half from Salzburg.
