I’m planning go in beginning April or end of march.
Switzerland will be my first destination but at that time still can ski?
Mid of April suitable to go to Santorini?
Mid of April Hallstall still have snow?
End of April is it tulip session in Amsterdam?
Hi Christin…,
My route seem like zig zap is because i wanted to take night train so that i can utilize my Eurail Pass. There is some reason i’m not taking flight is because i worried about flight delay, flight cancel and so on.
Anyway, Appreciate your input so much.

Hi Albert Heger,
I agree with your comment. The reason i list out so many city is because those city is just my rough idea. From here i wanted to get some expertise from you all because i never been to Europe before.
At the same time, is no problem for me to take off those destination having almost the same “duplicate” scene. or add in more night to particular city because i can stay up to 1 and a half month in Europe. But just worried too long vacation will make me tired. :)
By the way, i’m 25 this year.
and appreciate your input so much.
ya, regarding Santorini i do know about the ferry schedule. I only set 4 nights plus is because my trip will only focus on Santorini while Athens will only have some short tours around.
Here is the schedule.
Arrive by flight in afternoon take everning ferry to santorini -> stay 3 night -> Afternoon ferry back to Athens -> stay 1 night -> flight back.

I’d go to Switzerland,Austria,Italy,Czech republic Hungary,Greece,& then fly to Spain & France and back up to the Netherlands? You seem to be doing a lot of criss crossing of countries?

Also, you seem to be packing too much in, are you seeing sights for the sake of seeing them, or would you prefer to get a real feel for the countries you are visiting?

But sounds like a great trip, enjoy

I have the following comments: In general this could work. But:
have you made an evaluation whether certain legas would not be easier and more rapid by low cost airlines (Ryanair f.ex.). 2. I do not know your age but this is a KILLING tour even for a young person. 3.) Ski: at some high altitude resorts you could still ski in the morning in April but no way will you have the time to get there and ptactie ski. For instance: from Geneva to Les Diablerets (high altitude resort ) it would take you 2 1/2 h by normal train plus 2 hours by mountain train plus 3/4 hour by various telecabins. 4) Greece: Santorini is an island. Have you checked out teh ferry connections?
    6) Yes April is tulip season, but not in Amsterdam, in a park at about an hour from Amsterdam. 7) All in all your itinerary seems too overloaded and you are at risk to spoil some of your visits for sheer exhaustion. If I were you I would cancel 3 or 4 cities such as (In my opinion less interesting): Zurich (only industry), Bern, Hallstadt ,Milano ( 2 nights in Florence better). Any how: bon voyage!!

Your schedule doesn’t make any sense. Why not just go from Spain to France to Ams to Germany to Switzerland to Italy to Greece to Austria to Hungary to Czech and back home. You do say that you want to use up your euro rail pass. But you will regret having to spend so much time traveling here and there and not enjoying your destinations. But if you have the time and the money. Why not go any way that you like.
