Lovely cities, all of them.
I would recommend taking the train to travel between them, and use local public transport while you’re there. You can also ask the places where you book your accommodation to send a car to pick you up from the station, or how much you should expect to pay for a taxi.
Think about petrol when you’re doing the car hire thing. That’s something a lot of people forget. Plus you will have to pay for parking.
